Ranorex can now recognize our Web App using this version of Flash. Once the Instrumentation was successful, the Flash Player ActiveX version changed on its own from 17.0.0.188 to 18.0.0.261. (3) We were then able to successfully get the Ranorex Flash / Flex Instrumentation to work on our Web App. (2) Via the Adobe web site, downloaded and installed (on both of our playback machines) the ActiveX Version of the previous Flash Player that we were using (Version 17.0.0.188).

Ranorex could not recognize our Web App correctly with this being the case all of our existing automation would fail. NOTE: When we had Flash Player ActiveX v19.0.0.25 installed on both of our Ranorex machines, Flash / Flex Instrumentation was failing due the Error 1013 seen in the screenshot. Yet, both of these Ranorex versions are in fact compatible with Flash Player ActiveX Version 17.0.0.188 (which converts to 18.0.0.261 once the Instrumentation is successful). The Script uninstall previous version of Flash Player if is installed. PROBLEM SUMMARY: In Windows 7 using Internet Explorer 10 or 11, in regard to Flash / Flex Instrumentation, both Ranorex v5.8 and Ranorex v5.6 appear to be incompatible with the latest version of Flash Player (ActiveX Version 19.0.0.25). Command line: Copy the command below on text file and save it to the folder created previously called Install.cmd: Run the cmd file As Administrator and Adobe Flash Player will be installed silently.
